Milan was born in 1957 in Belgrade. After having finalized his studies of international public law at the University of Belgrade, he started his banking career in 1984 with Jugobanka United Bank Belgrade where he was predominantly responsible for the long-term credit transactions and the respective loan agreements with some of the largest international banks.  

In 1992 Milan moved to Düsseldorf, Germany where he joined the Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (WestLB AG). In the bank’s Credit Department, where he spent seven years, he was, inter alia, in charge of the credit risk analysis of some of the largest Far East banks. In 2000, Milan became a regional director within the bank’s Central & Eastern Europe Department.  In the period 2002-2007 he acted as the managing director of the WestLB’s Representative Office in Belgrade. In this function, he was responsible for the bank’s overall business relationship with the largest corporate clients, commercial banks, municipalities, central banks and other state-owned entities in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia. Since 2009 he has been acting as an independent project advisor to international companies looking for attractive business opportunities in the Balkan region.

Milan is an experienced banker who, in the course of his twenty-five years long banking career, has taken a wide range of responsibilities in a number of different fields of international banking like credit risk analysis, mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, ECA covered export finance, structured commodity finance, trade finance etc. He currently commutes between Düsseldorf, Belgrade, London and Paris.
